Why I Became a Nurse Practitioner

The nursing field provides countless opportunities to be with patients and their loved ones during some of the best and most difficult moments. I am grateful to be able to interact with patients on a daily basis; ensuring they are comfortable and safe during a vulnerable period of time. I enjoy the opportunity to listen to patients, so I am able to better understand their needs and goals, to help them navigate their current situation and to educate them to build a treatment plan that can improve or maintain their ideal quality of life.
