Medicine is evolving at lightning speed, and Midwest Radiology physicians are constantly shaping innovations and exploring new ideas about where care should be heading. We congratulate the following physicians for being named 2023 Top Doctors by Mpls.St.Paul magazine in its July issue. It’s a list that includes more than 800 local top doctors from 46 specialties who have been selected through a process involving extensive research and peer review. Each of the Midwest Radiology physicians recognized in 2023 has received the same honor multiple times previously, which speaks volumes about their reputations in the medical community.

Dr. Aaron J. Binstock is part of the Body/Oncology Imaging team. Dr. Binstock attended medical school at University of South Florida and interned in internal medicine at Tampa General Hospital. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in abdominal imaging at Mayo Clinic. 2023 marks the ninth year he has earned Top Doctor status overall, and he has been listed consecutively since 2016.

Dr. Alexandra L. Muschenheim is part of the Breast Radiology team. She attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, and was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2000. She completed her residency and fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at University of Minnesota Medical School. This is her ninth year to be honored, having been recognized as a Top Doctor every year since 2015.

Dr. Mark Veldman is part of the Body Imaging team. He attended the University of Minnesota Medical School and interned at Hennepin County Medical Center. He was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2006 after completing a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School and a fellowship in cross-sectional imaging at Mayo Clinic. Dr. Veldman has been honored as a Top Doctor five times, each year since 2019.

Dr. Michael Madison is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Midwest Radiology, and is active as part of its Neurointerventional Surgery team. Dr. Madison was certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1992. He attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in interventional neuroradiology. He has been recognized as a "Best Doctor for Women" multiple times. 2023 marks the twelfth year Dr. Madison has earned the Top Doctors honor in his career, and he has been listed every year consecutively since 2014.
